Stórsveit Tónak

Big Band TonAk is a modern music ensemble based on classical technique and modern styles as Jazz or World music, with the goal of make students a fresh and fun approach to a quality music education program.

This "multifaceted" band is also famous for its special work with improvisation and gives approximately 20 concerts each year working with the city Theater, town activities (christmas, 1st may, icelandic national day,...), Jazz Festivals and professionals musicians (teachers and out coming musicians). The band has always had much success performing inside and outside Iceland. The ensemble was awarded in 2010 on Nótan with a special mention (north region).
